Hill Acme™
shears are heavy, powerful and compact machines fabricated from
heavy steel plates. Using the leverage principle, the pivoting shear
arm is actuated by a hydraulic cylinder designed to give substantial
mechanical advantages to its knives. This multiplication of force
permits the use of a smaller, less expensive hydraulic cylinder
and pump to give the benefits of low initial investment plus low
operating and maintenance costs.
